2008 Lieutenant Governor’s Award Nomination Recognition for 25 years of Community Volunteerism

With over 30 years of extensive training and practical experience, Dennis W Clark* has been helping companies in British Columbia to reduce accidents in the workplace and to achieve safety, environmental, and LRB regulatory compliance.

Working with legislative bodies can be challenging; by simplifying and addressing regulatory compliance, Dennis has produced superior results for his clients, through his use of proven compliance systems and by his ability to draw on relationships developed with multiple agencies over the past 30 years.

Dennis has successfully represented the safety interests of over 300 industrial operations and two sector organizations with WorkSafeBC. Owing in part to safety systems designed by Dennis, BC’s shake and shingle industry has seen its serious injuries drop by 40%.

In recognition of this success in reducing the number of incidents in the workplace, Dennis was nominated for the Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Public Safety.

Dennis has also been recognized for his work by many government and private organizations, including the Senate of Canada, Federal House of Commons, Provincial Legislature, District Municipalities, WorkSafeBC, BC Safety Authority, and the BC Forest Safety Council.

Dennis has served as a technical advisor to WorkSafeBC (WSBC) and the BC Forest Safety Council (BCFSC), representing manufacturing in over 300 operations, and as an Advisor to WorkSafeBC on several provincial initiatives.
